Serrated steel grating provides superior non-slip properties, making it ideal for wet environments or areas requiring enhanced traction. The serration process involves precision carving of patterns into the bars, available in both control and filler bars as needed. Two serration patterns are available:

Serrated steel grating is the most popular choice due to its exceptional strength, cost-effectiveness, and easy installation. Its lightweight construction combined with non-slip characteristics and rolled-on serrations meets strict health and safety requirements. The hot-rolled serrations help prevent lacerations in case of falls.

Optional serrated bearing bars provide enhanced skid resistance, recommended for areas prone to liquid accumulation or inclined installations. While plain surface grating works well for most applications, serrated surfaces should be specified for wet or slippery conditions. Note that serrated grating requires bearing bars 1/4" deeper to maintain equivalent strength to non-serrated versions.
